Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Midwestern origin, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and tall collar with semi-rounded rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip extending up the front. Large underscored cobalt script "2" to right of decoration. Chip to back of one handle and a 2" hairline from rim on side of jar.
