Two Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, American, 19th century, a one-gallon jug with cobalt leaf decoration, stamped "E. & L.P. NORTON / BENNINGTON, VT," circa 1870; paired with a one-gallon ovoid jar with brushed cobalt tulip, Ohio origin, mid 19th century. Norton jug with restoration to U-shaped crack at base, including some minor touch-up to left side of leaf and stem of leaf, minor spout nicks, and a 3" faint horizontal line at base on reverse. Jar with one rim chip, otherwise excellent condition.
