Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "C.L. WILLIAMS & Co. / NEW GENEVA, PA," circa 1895, semi-ovoid jar with semi-squared rim, decorated with two finely-stenciled leaves above C.L. Williams maker's stenciling. Base with cobalt script "2". Rim and base with freehand cobalt stripes. Good color and crisp stenciling. Excellent condition with a minor chip on reverse of rim. Numbered inscription in black marker on underside.
