Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, MA origin, circa 1860, cylindrical jug with wide spout, decorated with an elaborate slip-trailed "tornado" design flanked by brushed leaves. Additional slip-trailed decoration at the shoulder. Two spout chips. Hairline in spout.
