Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, American, second half 19th century, a two-gallon Western PA jar featuring a large "2" underscored by stripes, paired with a three-gallon handled jar, decorated with a faint "3" flanked by leaves. Two-gallon jar with wear to rim, cracks at base, and 4" crack from rim on reverse. Three-gallon jar with a few small chips on interior of rim, as well as a 2 1/2" crack at base, extending 4" along edge of underside as a thin line.
