Stoneware Wax Sealer with Stenciled Dog Decoration, Stenciled "PALATINE POTTERY CO. / PALATINE / W.VA," circa 1875, cylindrical canning jar with tooled shoulder and rounded wax sealer rim, decorated with a stenciled standing dog between the stenciled words. Broken and reglued. Chips to interior of rim. 2 1/4" flake to underside at edge and small chip to underside at edge.
