Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "E & L P NORTON / BENNINGTON VT," circa 1870, cylindrical jug with sloped shoulder and semi-squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed bird with crest and long tail, perched on a stylized leaf. Crack in underside, extending onto base on reverse. Some staining around base area.
