One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, Stamped "W. ROBERTS. BINGHAMTON. NY," circa 1870, ovoid form with tubular spout, handle at base on reverse, and applied ears holding a wood and metal bail handle, decorated with cobalt highlights around the spout, ears, and handle terminals. Small chip and hairline in clay handle. H 9 1/2".
