Two Stoneware Advertising Vessels, New England origin, late 19th century, a barrel-form tobacco jar impressed with the cobalt-highlighted Boston advertising, paired with a half-gallon stoneware pitcher, stamped "WM. F. BROOKS, / JEWELER'S SPECIALTIES / STONE AND EARTHENWARE / EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I." Tobacco jar with two large rim chips, wear to interior where a lid would rest, and a 1/4" line at base extending 1 1/2" onto underside. Pitcher in as-made condition with a shallow in-the-making chip to top edge of rim. H (of tobacco jar) 7 1/2".
