Four-Quart Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Batter Pail, Stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON, PA," circa 1875, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, handle at base on reverse, and applied clay ears attached to a metal-and-wood bail handle. Decorated below the spout with a large brushed-cobalt tulip. 1 3/8" handle chip on reverse. Spout chip with 3/4" hairline extending from it. H 9".
