One-Gallon Decorated Stoneware Jar, probably VA origin, mid 19th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a stylized floral design with fern and tulip-shaped blossoms extending from a central stem. Additional stylized floral design to the left followed by a cluster of cobalt dots. Folky decoration. Contact marks and chip at base. Small rim chip and rim nicks. 3/4" circular line in rim, possibly a small reglued piece. H 11 1/4".
