Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Beaver, PA origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, decorated with brushed cobalt leaves, stripes, and a border surrounding the number "2". Rim secured by wire. 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" base flake and a smaller base chip. Three cracks from rim on reverse, measuring 6 1/2", 6", and 3 3/4" cracks on reverse. 4 1/2" hairline from rim on front. 1" rim chip on reverse. H 11 3/4".
