Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stamped "N. CLARK JR / ATHENS, NY," circa 1870, straight-sided crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flowering plant design. 5" diagonal hairline extending from rim above one handle. Additional 5" faint vertical line on front of crock. Glazed-over rim chip. H 9 1/2".
