Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "BALLARD & BROTHERS / BURLINGTON, VT.," circa 1870, decorated with a double-stemmed floral design with bell-shaped blossoms bearing long stamens. Heavy chipping to spout. Two base chips, one with a faint 3/4" line extending from it. Small touch mark to letters in "BURLINGTON." H 14 1/4".
