Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "O.L. & A.K. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT.," circa 1860, straight-sided jar with rounded shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flowering vine design. Numerous chips to interior of rim where a lid would rest. 9 1/2" crack on front, continuing 8 1/2" onto underside. Two chips to one handle. Salt drip on reverse. H 10 1/2".
