Six-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "O.L. & A.K. BALLARD / BURLINGTON, VT.," circa 1860, straight-sided crock with rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large crested bird with long tail, perched on a branch accented with curling trails. 3 1/2" rim chip. 1 1/2" stone ping under one handle. Smaller stone ping on reverse. H 14".
