Five-Gallon Stoneware Cream Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "D.P. SHENFELDER / READING, PA," circa 1870, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, semi-squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt flowering vine design. Two cracks from rim on front, measuring 10 1/2" and 5 1/2". Additional 5 1/2" hairline from rim on reverse. A few rim chips, one of which is glazed over. H 13 1/2".
