Half-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with squared rim and tooling to midsection and shoulder, the front decorated with a sweeping stem bearing graduated leaves and a tulip blossom. Includes a salt-glazed lid, which appears to be original to the jar. Desirable size. Jar and lid in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 1/4".
