Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Date "1868" within a Wreath, Stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO.," straight-sided crock with handles, decorated with the slip-trailed cobalt date surrounded by a wreath. Heavy fry to cobalt. 1 3/4" shallow chip and a second, smaller chip, both on exterior of rim. Chip on interior of rim. Some light staining. H 10 1/2".
