Four Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Vessels, American, second half 19th century, a one-gallon cream jar stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON & CO. / GREENSBORO, PA" with stenciled and freehand decoration; a half-gallon cylindrical jar with floral decoration, Baltimore, MD, origin; a one-gallon jug cylindrical jug with floral decoration, Ohio origin; a three-gallon bulbous jar with lug handles and bold floral decoration, New York state origin. Hamilton jar with surface wear, coated with varnish. Baltimore jar with firing flaws and chips, including two large losses to base. Ohio jug with spout chips. New York jar with 7 3/4" crack from rim on reverse and crack across base extending 9 3/4" up reverse. H (of tallest) 13 3/8".
