Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "NEW GENEVA / POTTERY," New Geneva, PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled accents and thick rim with "wax sealer" interior, featuring diagonal New Geneva Pottery stenciling between graduated diagonal stripes A 2 3/4" in-the-firing fissure in underside. Two rim chips, measuring 1 3/4" and 1 1/8". A 2 1/4" in-the-firing flake to top of rim. A minor rim chips. Staining to surface. H 9 1/4".
