Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Vessels, Northeastern Pennsylvania origin, circa 1870-1880, a one-gallon cream jar stamped "EVAN R. JONES / PITTSTON, PA," decorated with a large brushed tulip design. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark; and a one-gallon stoneware jug with cobalt floral decoration, stamped "H. WESTON", Honesdale, PA origin, decorated with a slip-trailed design. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark. Both in essentially as-made condition with surface wear, firing imperfections, and small chips. H (of tallest) 11 1/4".
