Three Pieces of Molded Stoneware, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY, late 19th century, two tankard-form pitchers with sea serpent handles, relief figural decoration on two sides, and applied bull dog's heads with piercings for fitting with a wire bail handle, one pitcher with bulldog spout, inscribed on the front, "Gesundheit," the other with depiction of poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, inscribed with a German slogan on the front, both with cobalt highlights over a Bristol slip ground; together with filter with relief floral and foliate motifs, inscribed, "THE ALLEN / GERM PROOF / FILTER / TOLEDO, O," with cobalt decorated under a salt-glazed surface. "Gesundheit" pitcher with a Y-shaped line near base on front and two small base chips. Other pitcher with a spout chip. Filter in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of tallest) 13 3/8".
