Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Stenciled Plough Motif, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. PA.," circa 1880, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim, featuring T.F. Reppert maker's stenciling surrounding a stenciled plough. Small stenciled tulips above. Freehand stripe decoration to shoulder and base. Base with freehand "2" flanked by flourishes. Provenance: From a fifty-year West Virginia collection. Very nice condition with some surface staining, primarily to reverse. H 10 1/8".
