Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flower Basket Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY, / N. Y. / POTTERY," circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flared basket brimming with leaves, flowers, and dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 4 1/4" Y-shaped line to left of decoration, not visible on interior. A 7/8" in-the-firing iron ping to reverse. A minor iron ping to interior of rim. Some staining. H 11 5/8".
