One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Ochre Floral Decoration Stamped "L. NORTON & SON," Bennington, VT, circa 1835, highly-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, brush-decorated with a tulip plant in brown ochre slip. Tight spider lines throughout much of jug. A glazed-over base chip. A shallow in-the-firing contact mark to top of spout. An in-the-firing chip below handle. H 11".
