Three Pieces of Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware, Ballardvale, MA origin, circa 1885, an oyster jar and larger jar of similar form, both stenciled "PEARSON'S MILLS / BYFIELD, MASS.," paired with a two-gallon crock with impressed and stenciled marks for "L. WILLARD & SONS / BALLARDVALE." Oyster jar missing handle, with pings and staining to surface, and a minor chip to interior of rim. Taller jar with rim chips, exfoliation, and an old painted design on side. Two-gallon crock with a 4 1/4" crack from rim on front, a 3 3/4" crack from rim on reverse, two rim chips, a 1 1/4" iron ping at base on reverse, a few short lines at base, and a small flake to one handle. H (of tallest) 13".
