Four-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Churn, attributed to Cheever Meaders, Cleveland, GA, early to mid 20th century, ovoid form with heavily-tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied strap and lug handles, the surface covered in an olive-green alkaline glaze. Incised "4" under lug handles. Provenance: Carl and Marian Mullis Collection; Ex-William House; On long-term loan to Colonial Williamsburg, 2019 to 2023. Chips to inner rim for lid. Some surface wear near base. H 16 1/4".
