One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Southeastern PA origin, third quarter 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, brush-decorated with a swag-and-hanging-flower motif around the shoulder. Excellent condition with some dark, in-the-firing surface crazing to base area, not visible on interior, some in-the-firing chipping to bottom edge, and light staining. H 7 5/8".
