One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to R.J. Grier, Mt. Jordan Pottery, Chester County, PA, circa 1865, ovoid pitcher with footed base and flared collar, brush-decorated with a horizontal design of a leafy stem bearing three flower blossoms flanked by stylized flower blossoms. Additional stylized flower blossom motifs to sides of collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A horizontal hairline through handle. A tiny piece of adhered clay to midsection. H 11".
