Large-Sized Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA or WV origin, circa 1880, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, brush-decorated with a straight stripe above three wavy stripes. Excellent condition with a minor chip to interior of rim, a minor area of surface wear to front, and some minor in-the-firing chipping to base. H 10 7/8".
