Four-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Churn, Stenciled "A.P. DONAGHHO, / PARKERSBURG, W.VA.," circa 1875, semi-ovoid churn with flared collar and ribbed lug handles, featuring large, bold-faced A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling between stenciled four-pointed stars flanked by leaves. Shoulder with stenciled "4" within a geometric border. Base with curving band of intricate stenciling. A reglued 2 5/8" x 1 7/8" triangular section at rim, including a few small reglued surface flakes along break. A sealed X-shaped crack on underside, forming a long, sealed T-shaped crack at base as well as an inverted L-shaped crack at base. H 16 3/4".
