Two Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Inscriptions, Lyons, NY origin, fourth quarter 19th century, a one-gallon advertising jug, inscribed "J.C. Brophy / Liquor Dealer / Waterloo. / N.Y.," stamped "F. OHMANN / LYONS N.Y.;" paired with a two-gallon cylindrical crock, inscribed "A.L. Deudney," stamped "J. FISHER / LYONS. N.Y." Jug with a small chip to top of spout and a salt drip to side. Crock with a 4" crack from rim on front and a 4 1/4" crack from rim on reverse, nicks to base on front, two small chips to one handle, and staining to reverse. H (of jug) 11".
