Scarce Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Slip-Trailed Starface Decoration, Stamped "T. HARRINGTON / LYONS," circa 1860, straight-sided, handled jar with rounded shoulder and flaring collar, slip-cup-decorated on the front with a human face surrounded by eight rays. Two slip-trailed cobalt "2" "s above decoration. Maker"s mark highlighted in cobalt. One of the more popular New York State stoneware decorations. Rim chip and very tiny rim nick. Height 12".
