Rare Redware Flowerpot with Mocha-Style Seaweed Decoration, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va.," circa 1850-1880, flare-rimmed pot with heavily-crimped rim, decorated around the body with four manganese seaweed motifs in the style of English mochaware, applied over a buff slip ground. Missing saucer. Chips and wear to rim. A curving crack extending from rim to midsection. H 7 1/2".
