Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Henry Harrison Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1835, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, brush-decorated around the body with two double-stemmed tulip motifs and one single-stemmed floral motif bearing a fan-shaped blossom. Hairlines to underside, including one extending 3" diagonally onto base. Some light wear to cobalt. H 13 5/8".
