Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK," early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and open loop handles, brush-decorated with cobalt dashes around the maker's mark and a stylized, three-petaled flower on the reverse, accented with spots. Excellent condition with minor chipping to base and some old residue from use to surface. H 11 1/2".
