One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "N. WHITE & CO. BINGHAMTON, NY State origin, circa 1866-1888, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Small chips to interior of rim, at least one of which occurred in the firing. A few minor base nicks. A minor glazed-over chip to underside at edge. H 11 3/4".
