Stoneware Batter Pail with Cobalt Wreath Decoration, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, NY, circa 1875, ovoid form with tubular pouring spout, handle at base on reverse, and applied clay tabs with wood-and-wire bail handle; decorated with a stylized slip-trailed wreath surrounding an impressed and cobalt-highlighted number 3. A chip and a 1 1/4" line along edge of handle. Some staining. A minor nick to spout. H 8 3/4".
