Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK & Co. / ROCHESTER N .Y .," circa 1839-1851, ovoid jug with tapered spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering daisy plant bearing two blossoms. Slip-trailed "2" above. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark and capacity mark. A 1 1/4" hairline from spout on jug's right side. Some fry to cobalt. H 14 1/2".
