Very Rare Glazed Redware Inkwell, Stamped "J.L. BLANEY," Cookstown, PA, Fayette County, PA origin, circa 1825-1854, diminutive, cylindrical form with footed base and recessed opening in top, the surface covered in a dark-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Underside impressed with J.L. Blaney maker's mark. Desirable form and very rare maker's mark. Hairlines to underside. Two small in-the-firing fissures in opening. H 1 1/4" ; Diam. 2 1/4".
