Scarce Four-Gallon Stoneware Churn with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped 'HUMISTON & / CUMMINGS. / S. AMBOY.N.J," second quarter 19th century, ovoid churn with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed floral motif with stylized blossoms. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Rim chips. A 1" hairline above one handle. A 5/8" in-the-firing lime ping near base. H 16 1/4".
