Unusual Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "FULPER & BROS / FLEMINGTON, N.J.," late 19th century, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a bird perched on a leaf, accented with a dotted trail. Faint cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Lesser-seen maker's mark and atypical bird design for this maker, likely executed by an itinerant potter. A 1 1/8" handle chip. A few very minor chips or nicks to rim. H 10 1/2".
