Three One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jugs with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, one stenciled "MACKEOWN / THOMPSON & CO / WHOLESALE/ DRUGGISTS. / PITTS. PA.;" another stenciled "JOS. FUHRER & SONS. / WHOLESALE / LIQUORS. / 3701 BUTLER ST. / PITTSBURGH. PA.;" and a third stenciled "P.H. HAMBURGER. / WHOLESALE / LIQUOR DEALER / 29. & 30 / DIAMOND SQUARE. / PITTSBURGH. PA." Fuhrer jug with restored handle, in otherwise excellent condition. MacKeown Thompson & Co. jug with a restored handle, spout chip, light spout wear, and a very small in-the-firing piercing to shoulder on reverse with a short in-the-firing line extending through it. Hamburger jug with poorly-restored handle, a 1 3/4" hairline to base, and a faint hairline to spout. H (of tallest) 12".
