Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va.," circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with an unusual alternating design of swags and hanging flowers, applied over slip-coated clay. Desirable size and strong decoration. A 3/4" rim chip and two other minor rim chips. Otherwise excellent condition. H 8".
