Two Pieces of Signed Solomon Bell Stoneware, Winchester and Strasburg, VA, circa 1840-1880, a one-and-a-half-gallon jar with large swag motif, stamped "SOLOMON BELL / STRASBURG / Va"; paired with a half-gallon undecorated jug. stamped "SOLOMON BELL", Winchester, VA origin, circa 1840. Jar in very nice condition with some shallow chipping to rim. Jug with two small spout chips and a recessed in-the-firing contact mark to two sides.
