Two Pieces of Northeastern U.S. Stoneware, 19th century, a five-gallon crock with cobalt fan-tailed bird decoration, stamped "WHITES, UTICA.", including a Northeastern U.S. lid with salt-glazed and Albany-slip-glazed surface, not original to crock; paired with a one-gallon, squat-shaped jug with cobalt foliate motif, stamped "J.W. INGELL / TAUNTON, MA.". Whites Utica crock with fry to cobalt, a pre-firing base chip with cobalt branch decoration painted over it, three rim chips, the largest measuring 1 1/4", and some faint lines on underside, not visible on interior. Lid with significant exfoliation to surface, a 5 1/2" reglued section, and a minor nick to knob. Ingell jug with shallow chipping to base and spout, as well as a glazed-over ping to front.
