Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "ELIZ.TOWN-N.J", J.M. Pruden, Elizabethtown, NJ, circa 1832-1835, ovoid jar with applied lug handles, decorated around the shoulder on the front and reverse with a series of brushed cobalt daubs. A thin 7" crack from rim on front. Otherwise excellent condition.
