Two Pieces of Greensboro, PA Stoneware, circa 1875, a two-gallon jug with stenciled and freehand cobalt decoration including a sunrise, stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO. PA"; paired with a canning jar, stenciled "JAS. HAMILTON / & CO. / GREENSBORO. PA". Jug with several small chips to opening and base of spout, in otherwise excellent condition. Jar with numerous tiny chips to interior of rim, some wear to inner canning jar rim, and a small, glazed-over base chip. H (of canning jar) 8".
