One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Inscribed "K W", Stamped "BROWN BROTHERS, / HUNTINGTON, / L.I.". New York State origin, circa 1885-1905, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with two flowers extending from a central stem, flanked by the initials "K W". Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: Donald Matties Collection. A professionally-restored crack from rim on front. A small area of restoration to rim area above one handle.
